Social Media Manager + Content Designer
About Kinn Studio
Kinn Studio is a modern heirloom fine-jewelry brand based in Los Angeles. We create timeless pieces designed to be worn daily and passed down for generations. Founded in 2017 and rooted in craftsmanship and storytelling, our work balances vintage inspiration with a modern point of view, and our solid 14k gold is never filled or plated.
We are a small, high-taste team that moves quickly, collaborates closely, and obsesses over details—from product to narrative to how the brand shows up in the world. As we scale from a digitally native brand into omnichannel retail across our LA and NYC flagships, the way Kinn shows up in culture matters more than ever.
The Role
We're looking for a Social Media Manager to own Kinn's social presence end-to-end—from strategy through execution. Reporting to the Head of Brand, you'll set direction for how Kinn shows up across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and LinkedIn, and you'll be hands-on with the day-to-day: planning, creating, shooting, editing, posting, and iterating.
You understand that social isn't just posting—it's brand voice, cultural relevance, and conversion. You care deeply about aesthetics, storytelling, and the emotional impact of content, not just metrics. You'll work from our downtown LA office and spend time on set, in-store, and in the field capturing product, people, and moments that bring the brand to life.
This role partners closely with our freelance community/influencer manager, who owns community and creator relationships. Together you'll keep Kinn's voice consistent everywhere it appears.
What You'll Do
Social Strategy & Ownership
- Own Kinn's social presence across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and LinkedIn, from strategy through execution.
- Develop and maintain a thoughtful, forward-looking social calendar aligned to launches, campaigns, retail moments, and brand priorities.
- Translate brand strategy into platform-specific content that feels intentional, elevated, and culturally relevant.
- Stay ahead of platform changes and trends—without chasing them at the expense of brand integrity.
Content Creation & Execution
- Lead day-to-day content creation: styling, shooting, editing, posting, and iterating.
- Capture on-body jewelry, product details, behind-the-scenes moments, and in-store content with a strong editorial eye.
- Create polished short-form video and still content using tools like CapCut, Canva, or Adobe Suite while maintaining a cohesive visual standard.
- Be comfortable both behind and in front of the camera, and know how to guide others to show up naturally on screen.
Graphic Design & Creative Production
- Design and produce social-first creative assets across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, LinkedIn, and emerging platforms.
- Create static posts, carousels, Stories, launch graphics, event promotional assets, and light motion graphics that align with Kinn's visual identity.
- Adapt campaign creative into platform-specific formats while maintaining brand consistency and visual excellence.
- Partner closely with the Brand and Creative teams to ensure all social creative reflects Kinn's aesthetic standards and strategic priorities.
- Maintain and evolve social design templates, ensuring efficiency while preserving a premium, editorial feel.
Performance & Optimization
- Track performance across channels, using data to inform decisions and refine strategy.
- Understand what drives engagement, growth, and conversion—and adjust quickly when something isn't working.
- Report insights and recommendations to the Head of Brand with clarity and context.
Who You Are
- You have 4–6 years of experience managing social media for a brand with a strong point of view, ideally in fashion, beauty, luxury, or lifestyle.
- You have experience owning social strategy end-to-end, including content planning, channel growth, brand voice, and performance optimization.
- You have a strong editorial eye and are highly skilled in content creation across video, photography, and social-first graphic design.
- You are proficient in Adobe Creative Suite and comfortable creating polished, on-brand assets independently.
- You understand design systems, typography, visual storytelling, and how to translate campaigns into compelling social content.
- You have a proven track record of creating content that drives engagement, brand affinity, and conversion.
- You're organized, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment with minimal oversight.
- You have a portfolio that demonstrates excellence in both social media strategy and creative execution.
