About Kinn Studio

Kinn Studio is a modern heirloom fine-jewelry brand based in Los Angeles. We create timeless pieces designed to be worn daily and passed down for generations. Founded in 2017 and rooted in craftsmanship and storytelling, our work balances vintage inspiration with a modern point of view, and our solid 14k gold is never filled or plated.

We are a small, high-taste team that moves quickly, collaborates closely, and obsesses over details—from product to narrative to how the brand shows up in the world. As we scale from a digitally native brand into omnichannel retail across our LA and NYC flagships, the way Kinn shows up in culture matters more than ever.

THE ROLE

We're looking for a Social & Content Lead to own how Kinn shows up across social platforms—from strategy and storytelling to content creation and performance.

Reporting to the Head of Brand, this person will define Kinn's social presence across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and LinkedIn. You'll be responsible for developing content strategies, building recurring content franchises, identifying cultural opportunities, and creating content that strengthens both brand affinity and business results.

This role is ideal for someone who is equally comfortable thinking strategically and executing quickly. You understand social media is one of the most important ways consumers experience a brand, and you know how to turn everyday moments into compelling content.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Social Strategy & Channel Ownership (Approx. 60%)

• Own Kinn's social presence across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and LinkedIn.
• Develop and execute platform-specific strategies that support brand, retail, product, and business goals.
• Build and maintain a thoughtful content calendar aligned with launches, campaigns, retail moments, partnerships, and cultural opportunities.
• Develop recurring content series and storytelling frameworks that create consistency and audience engagement.
• Partner with leadership to shape founder-led content and point-of-view storytelling.
• Identify opportunities to make Kinn part of broader cultural conversations in ways that feel authentic to the brand.
• Stay ahead of platform shifts, consumer behavior, and emerging trends while protecting brand integrity.
• Track performance across channels and translate insights into actionable recommendations.
• Continuously identify opportunities to grow reach, engagement, community, traffic, and conversion.

Content Creation & Execution (Approx. 40%)

• Lead day-to-day content creation across social channels.
• Capture and produce content featuring products, customers, team members, retail experiences, events, and behind-the-scenes moments.
• Shoot and edit short-form video content optimized for each platform.
• Create social-first assets including reels, stories, carousels, graphics, and light motion content.
• Write captions and publish content across channels.
• Be comfortable both behind and in front of the camera and directing others on set.
• Use tools such as CapCut, Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar platforms to create polished, on-brand content.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Partner closely with Brand, Creative, Marketing, Retail, and Ecommerce teams.
• Collaborate with the Community & Influencer Manager to ensure consistency across owned, earned, and creator content.
• Support retail openings, events, trunk shows, partnerships, and campaign launches through content planning and execution.
• Work alongside photographers, designers, freelancers, and agency partners when needed.

SUCCESS IN THIS ROLE LOOKS LIKE

• Kinn has a clear and recognizable social voice.
• Social channels consistently grow in reach, engagement, and influence.
• Founder, retail, product, and customer storytelling become repeatable content engines.
• Content reflects the quality, taste level, and values of the Kinn brand.
• Social contributes meaningfully to both brand equity and business performance.

WHO YOU ARE

  • • 4–6 years of experience in social media, content strategy, or brand storytelling.
    • Experience owning social channels for a brand with a strong point of view, ideally in fashion, beauty, luxury, lifestyle, or consumer brands.
    • Strong understanding of content strategy, platform behavior, and audience development.
    • Exceptional taste level and editorial judgment.
    • Skilled in content creation across video, photography, and social-first creative.
    • Comfortable shooting, editing, posting, and analyzing content independently.
    • Proficient in CapCut, Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar content creation tools.
    • Strong understanding of what drives both brand affinity and business performance.
    • Highly organized, proactive, and able to operate with minimal oversight.
    • Excited to work in a fast-moving environment where ideas quickly become reality.
