Freelance Community & Influencer Manager
About Kinn Studio
Kinn Studio is a modern heirloom fine-jewelry brand based in Los Angeles. We create timeless pieces designed to be worn daily and passed down for generations. Founded in 2017 and rooted in craftsmanship and storytelling, our work balances vintage inspiration with a modern point of view, and our solid 14k gold is never filled or plated.
We are a small, high-taste team that moves quickly, collaborates closely, and obsesses over details—from product to narrative to how the brand shows up in the world. As we scale from a digitally native brand into omnichannel retail across our LA and NYC flagships, the way Kinn shows up in culture matters more than ever.
The Opportunity
We're looking for a freelancer to support Kinn's community and creator ecosystem roughly 10-15 hours a week. You’ll support our influencer and creator relationships from discovery through long-term partnership.
This is a relationship-building role at heart. You understand that community and creator work is brand voice, cultural relevance, and trust—built one genuine interaction at a time. You balance warmth and discretion, know when to engage, when to escalate, and when to act independently, and you protect Kinn's voice instinctively while making every interaction feel personal and genuinely human.
You'll visit our downtown LA office and spend time on set, in-store, and in the field.
What You'll Do
Community Management
- Support with community engagement end-to-end, including DMs, comments, and customer touchpoints across all channels.
- Build genuine relationships with followers, clients, and brand advocates while protecting Kinn's voice and tone.
- Surface community insights, recurring questions, and sentiment to the Head of Brand and cross-functional partners.
Influencer, Creator & UGC Management
- Support Kinn's creator ecosystem, building a consistent pipeline of high-quality UGC, influencer content, and brand-aligned creative assets.
- Source, vet, and cultivate relationships with creators, tastemakers, VIP clients, and emerging voices who align with Kinn's brand and customer.
- Manage creator partnerships from outreach and gifting through briefing, content collection, usage rights, performance tracking, and long-term relationship development.
- Build and maintain a network of creators who can regularly produce content for social, paid media, email, web, and launch campaigns.
- Proactively identify opportunities to secure creator imagery and video assets that can be repurposed across marketing channels.
- Manage content requests, deadlines, deliverables, and usage permissions to ensure a steady flow of on-brand creative.
- Determine which creators warrant long-term investment versus one-time partnerships, balancing performance, aesthetics, and brand alignment.
- Manage whitelisting, content licensing, and light negotiation with professionalism and strong attention to detail.
Partnerships & Brand Advocacy
- Build and nurture a roster of brand advocates, clienteling relationships, and tastemaker partnerships that compound over time.
- Support pop-ups, piercing events, and in-store moments by activating community and creators in person.
- Coordinate gifting and seeding programs end-to-end, from selection to fulfillment to follow-up.
Performance & Optimization
- Track performance across community and influencer partnerships, using data to inform decisions and refine strategy.
- Understand what drives engagement, advocacy, and conversion—and adjust quickly when something isn't working.
- Report insights and recommendations to the Head of Brand with clarity and context.
Previous Experience
- You have 4–6 years of experience in community and/or influencer management for a brand with a strong point of view, ideally in fashion, beauty, or luxury.
- You are deeply fluent in influencer strategy, from gifting and seeding to ongoing relationship management.
- You have high emotional intelligence and judgment—you make community feel human while staying aligned with a luxury brand.
- You have a proven track record of building highly engaged communities and trusted creator relationships.
- You stay ahead of platform changes and trends, but never chase them at the expense of brand integrity.
- You're decisive, organized, and calm under pressure, able to manage multiple priorities without constant oversight.
- You care deeply about people, storytelling, and the emotional impact of the brand, not just metrics.
- You have experience building and managing creator programs that consistently generate high-quality UGC and brand assets, not just influencer partnerships.
